Bra Making Tutorial (for 1 person) for Auction: starting bid $100.
Intermediate to Experienced sewers only, please.
Come spend a typical day in the studio with two self taught bra makers.
Amy Jenkins and Wendi Prentiss have been collaborating on
DIY bra-making since September 2006, and have figured out
some of the "gotchas" about it all.
It's really challenging design and fabrication, and you should have a working knowledge of hand and machine sewing to take this tutorial.
We meet from 11am til 7pm, and the day includes lunch.
The studio is in the Portola district, San Francisco
Over the course of the day, you'll watch us work with bra patterns that we've modified to fit our busty selves, and we'll show you how to lay out a basic flat pattern and modify it to fit yourself. You'll come away with a simple pattern you can continue working with, and maybe even something you can wear that night.

on a Friday in either February or March of 2008.
